Enormous Tasting

Someone in our tasting group decided to bring a whole case of beer to a tasting. It was sunny and we were surrounded by good beer. I wonder what happens next?

Starting off with Bruery Hottenroth or however it’s spelled. Makes me want Bu Weisse…

Bruery Saison Rue: Still pretty solid, but the offerings in PDX are better. B

Little palate cleanser with some Hill Farmstead What is Enlightenment. A

Some more palate cleansing with some Cherry Adam from the Wood ice cream! Stupid amazing.

Sour in the Rye variants: Kumquat, regular, and Peach!

Bruery Sour in the Rye: Rye sour is sour. A-

Bruery Sour in the Rye Peach: Tastier than the regular, but not very much peach here. A-

Bruery Sour in the Rye Kumquat: Best of the 3, but mostly because I love kumquats and I’ve never had it in beer form before. A-

Bruery Otoise: Time has not been kind to this beer. C+

Bruery Barrel Aged 2 Turtle Doves: First Christmas beer from the Bruery that I’ve actually enjoyed. It’s really good, reminds me of the anniversary beers. A/A+

Ithaca Lebleu: Really good, and perfect for the weather. Appropriate scenario gives this beer an A+

Boulevard Love Child #3: I expected more from this beer after having Love Child #1. B+

Not going to bother mentioning these beers. They were either bad or boring.
