On a sour kick

My friend from Seattle was here over the weekend, so we hung out and drank some tasty beer. A few of them are just getting into sour beers now, so I decided to not pull the first punch.

Cantillon Fou Foune 2013: This was a tasty bottle, but not as good as the 2011 that I opened a few months ago. I think that the 2013 bottles were just not quite as fruity as previous years. Nevertheless, it’s one of the best sours out there. A

Night Shift Somer Weisse: Ah, my first non-infected bottle. The ginger and lemongrass is a really good combination, and brings some complexity to an otherwise boring flavor profile. I’m happy I have another bottle of this one, because I’m going to drink it while eating Vietnamese food. It’s going to be wonderful. A-

Night Shift Ever Weisse: Mmmmmm, alcoholic Snapple. B+
