Bad life choices

I feel like this is a good idea now, will report back after I drink this bad boy.

Ex Novo makes good beer?

Oh Ex Novo, I had written you off for more than a year, but it looks like you’ve finally figured out how to make some good beer.

Cloudy Future: Great take on the New England style of IPAs, also known as goofy orange juice.

Avery Thingy Thing.

Witbeer with passionfruit, absolutely crushable. Just don’t ask me to pronounce or spell the name. A beer has no name.

Block 15 Fluffhead

Yes, it’s very tasty.

Picking up where I left off.

I need to get my liver back up to fighting strength before all the Portland beer geeks realized I’m weakened and destroy me at the next bottle share. The clock is ticking!

Melvin IPA: First can of Melvin since they started distributing to Oregon! So sticky and dank, I can’t tell if it’s because of how hoppy this beer actually is or if it’s because everything that’s a pale ale or hoppier tastes hoppy as hell right now.

de Garde Biere Noir: Revisiting an old favorite, de Garde’s Biere Noir has taken a funkier turn without picking up additional tartness! Fruit is still in full force here, with tons of jam and blackberries. I know this beer is made with black raspberries, but I thought it tasted more like blackberries, sue me.

Jackie O’s/Side Project/Tired Hands/Sante Adairius We Are You: So….there are four breweries represented here, but I only taste two of them in this beer, so I guess they stood on the sidelines and provided moral support while the other two got to work. Up front this beer is bracingly acidic in vein of Side Project beers, but the finish and funk is all Sante Adairius. Probably my favorite new beer from Sante in quite a while, it reminds me of a more sour version of their Nonna’s Blends, which are my favorite non-fruited beers from them.

Westworld and Beer!

Coffee Aeropressed Bourbon County Stout really hits the spot when you’re watching a show that explores how terrible people are when there are no consequences for their actions. On the other hand, the consequences of me drinking this big ass beer after weakening my liver by not drinking for a few weeks will mean a very restful night’s sleep.

I’m not dead

Sorry for not posting for a long, long time, but I have been pretty busy with regular life things. I actually haven’t drank in a few weeks, GASP! Fortunately, I’m no longer traveling and can drink a little bit now!

Anyways, both Petit Nectarine and Petit Peche have gotten noticeably more sour since the last time I had them. I would drink them now, they certainly aren’t getting better, and I preferred these right out of the gate.

The Numbers

Still delicious!
