Zwanze Madness

Went to get tickets for Zwanze over the weekend. It was a madhouse.

So crowded. At least the beer was good. By the way, the original bottles of Cuvee Armand & Gaston are waaaay different than recent bottlings. Much better and funkier.

September 23rd I’m coming for you.

Eye doctors becoming eye doctors

A friend of mine finally graduated optometry school. Years ago he asked if I would save a beer for his graduation. I did.

Yep, this is gonna be interesting.

Look at him, probably checking into beer with the same fervor that an 18 year old swipes on tinder.

Oh that sinking feeling.

This is how it’s done.

God this was the worst beer of the night

These were very tasty too.

Best beers of the evening. Armand & Tommy still not as good as the Seasons if you ask me.

and goodnight fellas!

Cuvee Armand & Gaston

Drie Fonteinen Armand & Gaston: This was opened to celebrate the gutting of the fish that is the Seattle Sounders last Sunday. I haven’t had this beer yet, and I should really drink a beer before deciding whether or not to age it. So this beer opens EXTREMELY energetically, the cork exploded from the bottle the moment the cage was undone. Aside from that, this beer is really damn good, and frankly tastes like an older geuze. I can’t wait to try this beer again in a few years. Until then, my other bottle is going to take a nice slumber.
